Buddhist state of mind.

As I'm still in the process of acquiring non-canonical books, as new ones come in, I have to do some re-arranging now and then to make sure everything goes where it needs to. As I was looking over my completed task I realized that I had organized them not by author as I would have a few years ago but by subject matter. That is: they are shelved to facilitate ease of understanding as they relate to fundamental points of doctrine. This is not unlike the nikayas themselves which were arranged by length and to guide the reader through the vast of ocean of dhamma.

This has been the case for some time now, and I'm shocked it took me so long to notice it. Being aware of it makes me smile. It seems that the dhamma-vinaya has had more of an impact upon me than I know.

May all beings be happy and free from suffering.
